The SKITTLE ALLEY has made many, many friends over the last few years.

Some of you are listed below, with links to relevant websites,
or in the case of a few lazy sods,
MySpace pages!!
We'll be updating this quite frequently but we got all excited about having a website so we've chucked a
few of the usual suspects down here to get us off to a flyer!
Any old mates wanting a link added here just drop us all the relevant on an e-mail to

skittlealley@googlemail.com
and we'll get our man to sort it out.

 SUPERLOOSE

  superloose
John and Emma are now joined by John P, Nige and Kate as Superloose, possibly Oxford's hippest new band,
teaming mandolinny type strings and slide guitar with home made instruments, shakey things and Emma and Nigels
vocals (abley assisted by young Kate!). And it's all working a treat. In a kind of hillbilly, folky, rootsy, acoustic rocky
kind of way. And they are, of course, actively involved in this and every year's Wittstock Rock FREE festival....
   WITTSTOCK ROCK
Regular updates here on the hippest hippie-fest of the summer. Expect blue skies, twangling guitars, the wafting
scent of patchouli oil...... and the increasingly strange and weird phenomonom that is Phil Garvey's Hair!!
Already planning for next year, there will be regular fund-raising gigs at The Ex - all the dates you need are here!

 ANDY NICHOL AKA DJ YOGHURT
One of the founding members and the man with the BIGGEST FUCKING BEATS in town, Andy is now
responsible for booking bands and doing the sound for nights down at the Jericho Tavern.
Wicked night to be had by all and Andy is always on the lookout for new and exciting bands to put on.
  Contact him here or at
CROSS TOWN TRAFFIC

  MARK BOSLEY

mark  Mark with hair - rare documentary image!
Always loved Mark is a Skittle Alley institution and has one of the best blogs you can find (which naturally
we'll be stealing from on a regular basis). Although he could do with a few more regular updates.
But then couldn't we all!!?? Check it out!

 REDOX
Ever popular Redox are going as strong as ever, gigging all over the place and of course still playing backing
band (of sorts!) to the enigmatic PETE FRYER. Check all their latest news and gig listings here.

 KLUB KAKOFANNEY
Couldn't mention Redox without the ubiquitous Klub Kak - still going strong at the Wheatsheaf. Check out this
  months line up.

   VBS
 VIGILANCE BLACK SPECIAL
The first band EVER to play at the Skittle Alley. How do you formulate a career after that?! Our old drinking
and sparring buddies VBS have not long had their MySpace sight up and running so give em a click.... and be
  their friend!

 TWIZZ TWANGLE
WHAT CAN YOU SAY...... The Twangling One is as sharp and entertaining as ever. Go find out what he's
up to - and when you do, let us know. 'Cos even he doesn't have a clue what he's up to half the time!

 NICK BREAKSPEAR
Nick is now up and running with his new band, The Black Hats, but is still a Skittle Alley regular on the
acoustic nights and one of the most popular performers we have, going right back to his Chamfer days.
Oh, and he's a bloody nice bloke, too!

 LOST CHIHUAHUA
Absolutely nothing to do with the Skittle Alley at all. An Oxford based covers band who are based
Banbury / Bicester area and are pretty damn good, they are often found gigging in and around Oxford.
And my mate Paul is the bass player. Hence the mention. Now where's me fiver??

 NIGHTSHIFT
And just where would we be without Nightshift? And we owe them a kind of apology, as we did suggest
that the website wasn't the best in the world. And while it probably isn't, now we have worked out how to
navigate it, it's pretty damn good. And we get our copy of Nightshift deivered direct to the laser printer.
  Albeit a bit late......

 ORDINARY BLOKE DOWN THE PUB

     ordinary
Again, nothing to do with the Skittle Alley. Its Disco Dad's very own Blog. If you remember fABmag,
The Jockey Journal or the (very short-lived) Skittle Alley News, you'll have some idea of the general
direction it's coming from. But like many Blog's, we're not guaranteeing it's update frequency. Knew I
shouldn't have outsourced the typing to India.......
